What lies underneathby ~maria-art-ro

I chose to buy and paint this one-strip pear exctly because all the other ladies in the supermarkeet were tossing it away.
It made me think how we tend to reject everything and everyone that doesn't fit in our beauty standards.

There is so much bad and ugliness in all of us - this is what I wanted to picture in the lower, messy layers on which the pear sits.

Yes. I work on the energy market and the pages were taken from my most-read publication.
Those very pages came out of the "Financial Magazine" in Romania.

That's cool to know. but what I meant is that, it would have been so awesome if the first top layer was the stock market pages and then the publicity then the article and at the bottom the reader article. Just like the world we live in. First the money then the businesses and after all this then come the people. Sorry for my bad English.

You have a good point with the layers and surely a very intresting ones. To bad all I have at home is pure financial data and books (and i would NEVER rip page out of a book).
I'll keep in mind what you said.
Although at that time I just aimed in getting as much texture as I could and doing a real mess, in contrast with the calm section above.
